Group Statement

We are An AA Group coming together to work towards a common solution to the problem of alcoholism. We have recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body by taking the action indicated in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. To show others precisely how we have recovered is the main purpose of this group.

Group Format

We read the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous starting from the preface through to page 164 plus Dr. Bob’s Nightmare. A selected member reads and discusses a passage from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous followed by a 3 minute meditation.

Group Flavor

This is a large but intimate group. We welcome newcomers. The group really defines the line in the preamble that states, ” primary purpose is to stay sober and to help other alcoholics achieve sobriety” There are service positions available for those looking for service. Many people in the group have sponsors, are sponsors, and work the steps from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. So, this is a great meeting to look for a sponsor or sponsee, to get a service position and to see “How it Works”.
