Working to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety

Sober Solutions Women’s Group

SOBER SOLUTIONS WOMEN’S GROUP meets on Friday nights from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Hospital in the Atrium Conference Room (located on the lower level near the elevators). We are an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. We have a group conscience on the second Friday of each month after the regular meeting. We open at 6:00 with The Serenity Prayer, then introduce ourselves. Any announcements are made. Then someone reads “The Preamble”, someone reads “How It Works”, and then someone reads “The Twelve Traditions.” Chips are given for all varieties of lengths of sobriety. The speaker reads from AA approved literature, then shares her experience, strength, and hope for 10-15 minutes, then chooses a topic for discussion. The meeting is open for sharing until 7:00. We close with the Third Step Prayer. We give big books to anyone who wants one, and we have phone lists available. All women are invited to attend.
